Ms. Yasmine Polius is a dedicated professional with a strong background in law enforcement and a deep passion for youth advocacy and public health. Holding a Bachelors degree in Management Studies (BMS), she actively champions initiatives aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles and the well-being of young people in her community.
As a committed member of the St. Lucia Diabetes and Hypertension Association (SLDHA) and the Diabetes Foundation for Youth (DFY), Yasmine works tirelessly to raise awareness about non-communicable diseases through education and policy advocacy. Her collaborative efforts with the Healthy Caribbean Coalition (HCC) have been pivotal in promoting St. Lucia's draft School Nutrition Policy, where she engages young people in meaningful discussions to create healthier school environments.
Inspired by her mother’s personal experience of living with diabetes for over 30 years, Ms. Polius is deeply passionate about preventative health measures and sustainable nutrition. Her advocacy goes beyond education, as she is actively involved in farming, focusing on growing local, nutritious food to support healthier communities.
