On this World Suicide Prevention Day, we pause to reflect on the importance of compassion, understanding, and community support. Suicide prevention is not the responsibility of one person alone; it is a collective effort that calls on each of us to look out for one another.
We encourage everyone to take time for themselves, to breathe, and to seek help when needed. It is important to remember that it is okay to not be okay. No one is ever truly alone, even when it may feel so.
At different times in our lives, each of us needs a shoulder to lean on. This month, for the remainder of the year, and in the days ahead, let us develop the courage to reach out, to be present, and to stand alongside those who may be struggling.
Together, we can create a culture of care and hope. Together, we can prevent suicide.
